Frequently Asked Questions

I know planning a wedding is a huge undertaking.

There’s a lot to consider and a million different decisions to be made. Choosing your wedding flowers can be overwhelming, especially if you’ve never organised a large event or worked with a florist before. To reduce the potential for stress and confusion, I focus on providing attentive, personal service throughout your wedding planning journey. My commitment to making your life easier starts here, by answering some common questions and explaining the ins and outs of working with me.

.o1

When should we book a wedding florist?

As soon as possible. Whether you’re looking for a photographer or a florist, there’s a good chance your favourite suppliers will be busy and booked well in advance. It’s never too early to enquire, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch. If your wedding is more than two years away, I won’t be able to provide a quote, but we can still discuss ideas and secure your date.

.o2

We don’t know anything about flowers. Where do we start?

Don’t panic! You don’t need to know a thing about flowers. It’s my job to guide you through the process, make suggestions and ultimately achieve the look you want. Pinterest is a great place to look for inspiration. As long as you have a rough idea of your preferred colour palette and the overall style of your wedding, we can begin designing.

.o3

Do you have a price list?

No, I do not. I price my work on an individual basis because every wedding is different and the designs I create are completely bespoke. I’ll be able to provide you with a detailed quote following your initial consultation.

.o4

Do you have a minimum spend?

Yes, the minimum spend for wedding florals is £1000. This ensures I can create your dream florals – the refined, luxurious designs you’ll have seen and loved in my gallery – using flowers of the highest quality.

.o5

Do we have to pay a deposit?

Yes. Following your initial consultation, you’ll receive a bespoke proposal containing a quote that’s valid for 14 days. A £200 deposit is required to secure your wedding date.

.o6

What if we change our minds about what we want?

Don’t worry – it’s not uncommon for plans to shift and change, especially if your wedding is more than 12 months away. Nothing we discuss during your initial consultation is set in stone and you do not need to make any firm decisions right away. It’s simply an opportunity for us to get to know each other and chat about your flowers. You have until six weeks before your wedding date to finalise your plans.

.o7

When is the final balance due?

Four weeks before your wedding date.

.o8

Do you deliver?

Yes, set-up and delivery are all part of the service. Unless everyone is getting ready in the same place, most couples need a few different deliveries on their wedding day. I can drop off at up to three locations.

.o9

Do you have props and vessels available to hire?

Yes, I have an ever-growing collection of vases, stands and arches you can hire for your wedding. If I don’t have exactly what you need, I’m more than happy to source items on your behalf. The cost of hire will be included in your quote.

.10

Can we reuse flowers from the ceremony?

Absolutely! I will always suggest ways to relocate or repurpose ceremony flowers. They should be enjoyed as much as possible!

.11

I have hay fever. Does this mean I can’t have real flowers?

Thankfully, there are plenty of flowers that have a very low pollen count. It’s a common issue and something I’m used to working with, so you don’t need to worry.
